Brenda, this is the park we spent Christmas in several years ago. At 600,000 acres it is the largest state park in California. The flowers and views were spectacular. it apparently rained some friday and saturday.The hiking was great. we didn't make it to the waterfalls (Rick was too lazy!) but they are supposed to be great this year. I hear reports that the wildflowers in death valley are some of the best in the last 30 years. That appears to be the case in borrego. please check out the the desert wildflower watch on desertusa.com. We didn't want to comment negatively on that to you since we had not been there. Winter vacation in Florida for us was playing golf in Naples. We are guessing that the Biltmore $35.00 fee is a bargain in comparison. Enjoy the rest of Florida. Weather should be beautiful. Don and I have heard many times that DisneyWorld is a “tourist trap”. There is one here in Aberdeen. Dinner has loads of selection of everything including desserts. Of course, it is known for the price. Dinner for two is around $14.00 here.
